FIVE FINGERS FOR MARSEILLES: Don't Miss The Official Trailer For The Slick SA Western Thriller

Debut director Michael Matthews is finally out to make 2018 his banner year with the upcoming release of post-apartheid South African thriller, Five Fingers For Marseilles. Following a short, albeit robust film festival run and reception late last year, the first official trailer arrived this week hailing a seven year-long effort for Matthews who also shares producing credits with longtime cohort, screenwriter Sean Drummond.
Twenty years ago, the young ‘Five Fingers’ fought against brutal police oppression for the safe-keeping of the rural town of Marseilles. Now, after fleeing in disgrace, freedom-fighter-turned-‘outlaw’ Tau returns to Marseilles, seeking only a peaceful pastoral life. When he finds the town under new threat, he must reluctantly fight to free it. Will the Five Fingers ride again?
Five Fingers for Marseilles is also produced by Asger Hussain and Yaron Schwartzman with a strong cast that lists Vuyo Dabula, Zethu Dlomo, Hamilton Dlamini, Lizwi Vilakazi, Kenneth Nkosi, Mduduzi Mabaso, Aubrey Poolo, Dean Fourie, Warren Masemola, Kenneth Fok, Anthony Oseyemi, Brendon Daniels, Garth Breytenbach, Tseko Monaheng, Mosili Makuta and Jerry Mofokeng.

Uncork’d Entertainment is rolling out the film in North America with dates and further acquisition news pending. Watch the trailer.
