The Teaser For The 16th New York Asian Film Festival Is All The Rage!


The summer film festival scene is looking to be quite the adventure this year, particularly for the 16th edition of the New York Asian Film Festival. The official line-up has already been announced ahead of the festival's Film Society launch on June 30 with tickets going on sale next week and the NYAFF released a mini teaser to stir the hype some.
North America’s leading festival of popular Asian cinema will showcase 57 feature films, including 3 International Premieres, 21 North American Premieres, 4 U.S. Premieres, and 15 films making their New York City debuts. The festival will feature in-person appearances by more than 20 international filmmakers and celebrity guests from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
Several of the titles announced include Thai teen thriller, Bad Genius, Ho Yuhang's action thriller, Mrs. K which has already seen a raft of approving festival screenings around the world, and Jung Byoung-Gil's festival closer, The Villainess which has a U.S. release pending from Well Go USA.
