REAL: Meet The Players Of Lee Jung-Sub's New Action Noir Thriller


The summer has proven hugely viable for Korean cinema fans with the emergence of several titles in the past month even as Cannes unfolded. Writer and director Li Jung-Sub's latest, Real, is one of them while not having had its France run and yet still garnering some appeal with its most recent teaser.
Jang Tae-young is an ambitious businessman whose aim is to control the criminal world. He’s about to launch the largest casino in the country called ‘Siesta’, in which people can come and enjoy all manner of pleasures. However he gets involved in a power struggle with mob boss Cho Won-geun over the control of Siesta.  Just as he is on the verge of losing it all, a mysterious investigative journalist approaches him with a solution and with his help, Jang wins over Cho, but soon realizes that not all is what it seems...
Actor Kim Soo-Hyun makes his return to the big screen since his last starring role three years ago in Secretly Greatly. A June release remains pending while we have a new character trailer making the rounds introducing several more of its cast, including Sung Dong-Il, Lee Sung-Min and actress Sulli.
