The Rock Sends His Regards From Prison With The FAST 8 Stunt Team

Forgetting any of the other infractions being discussed in other headlines, what the production of F. Gary Gray's Fast 8 is about this week is the sick action that awaits when the film opens next year in April. In that respect, leave it to co-star and producer Dwayne Johnson who has been on the warpath promoting the film with various bits and pieces of video from the set, including updates on what's expected to be the prison fight scene of all prison fight scenes.

For this, we get the latest ceremonial Instagram post courtesy of Johnson, accompanied by the team led by stunt and fight coordinator J.J. Perry - best known for his work on Undisputed: Last Man Standing, The Tournament, Warrior, The Expendables 3 and Chad Stahelski's upcoming action sequel, John Wick: Chapter Two. Might I add, I had the humbling opportunity of chatting with Perry late last year when he was in New York City on business, and I can honestly attest that he's as cool in person as anyone who knows him says he is. No B.S..

From Universal Pictures, Fast 8 also sees the return of the familiar faces of the franchise led by Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, in addition to Charlize Theron, Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren.

My FINAL WEEK of shooting #FastAndFurious. There's no greatness ever achieved alone.. it's always a team effort. We promised an epic prison break out for you guys and we delivered. HUGE THANK YOU to my ohana (family) stunt coordinator JJ Perry and his bad ass fearless stunt team - as well as my cousin and incredible stunt double @samoanstuntman. Thank you team for the willingness to "die hard" and drop your blood & sweat daily for our movie. #MyStuntBrothers #Loco4Life You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of TEAM EFFORT. That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step on to my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team - that's a family - there's gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when its followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it. At the end of the day me and #F8 co-stars all agree on the most important thing: Delivering an incredible movie to the world. #Fast8 #IcemanCometh #FamilyGrowth
