Nolan's DUNKIRK Sees Incoming In The First Announcement Trailer

Just a little over a few months since production began for writer and director Christopher Nolan's new World War 2 thriller, Dunkirk, we've now come to with a first trailer announcing the film ahead of its July 21 release next year. There's not much to spot right away in terms of star power but you're immediately set into the unpredictability of planes flying overhead as soldiers land on the beach with hell about to break loose. Pretty intense stuff!

“Dunkirk” opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
“Dunkirk” features a prestigious cast, including Tom Hardy (“The Revenant,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Inception”), Mark Rylance (“Bridge of Spies,” “Wolf Hall”), Kenneth Branagh (“My Week with Marilyn,” “Hamlet,” “Henry V”) and Cillian Murphy (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy), as well as newcomer Fionn Whitehead. The ensemble cast also includes Aneurin Barnard, Harry Styles, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan and Tom Glynn-Carney.
Also worth mentioning is the IMAX 65mm and 65mm large format nature of the filming process, and so you're already bound for something immersive, big scale and truly explosive for an action picture. An official trailer still remains pending but this one takes things off to a grand start with versions available online in different languages.

Check out the trailer announcement right now!
