Has THE CROW Finally Landed A Star?

Warner Bros.

There's good news for fans of the 1994 cult fantasy action thriller, The Crow who have been waiting patiently for the reboot of the hit underground graphic novel. As it turns out, Corin Hardy is back on board following his departure from the project late last year, and, a new actor is in the running to lead the cast.

Relativity Media in its recent recovery from bankruptcy in the past year has undergone quite a revamp as the film endured a revolving door of names coming and going like Bradley Cooper, Luke Evans, Alexander Skarsgård, and even Jack Huston before he moved over to lead MGM's Ben-Hur remake. Now, word from Variety brings actor Jason Momoa into the fold to possibly play the title character - a musician whose heinous murder ensues his resurrection at the behest of a mystical crow, to take flight with his own brand of justice.

Momoa isn't going away anytime soon with the promotional campaign officially underway for Warner Bros. slate of DC Comics titles to include the actor's installment as Aquaman. He will also star in Netflix series, Frontier, and in stunt professional Lin Oeding's directorial debut thriller, Braven.

The bad news is... well... if you hate remakes then you probably won't care for this movie. Personally, I think Momoa looks the part and definitely has the physical screen caliber to play a character mighty and supernatural seeing as how he once played Conan, and a brooding warlord on HBO's Game Of Thrones. Aquaman, which will share the WB/DC cineverse with Justice League and a standalone film of its own from James Wan, is certainly lending him the appeal here for another potential starring vehicle, which I think is fantastic. I say The Crow deserves another shot on the big screen as long as it's done right, but what do you guys think?
