Currently primed for a North American remake, director Hans Peter Molland's 2014 Norwegian crime pic, In Order Of Disappearence, has already earned the favor and appeal of many a film festival goer in the last several years. Actor Stellan Skarsgård leads the thriller with a tale that currently boasts notable film comparisons for its sheer, hard-hitting gravitas, artful imagery and acting and all the better for it with a North American release finally in tow courtesy of Magnet Releasing.

Introverted and hard-working snowplow driver Nils has just been named “Citizen of the Year,” when he receives news that his son has died of a heroin overdose. Disbelieving the official report, Nils soon uncovers evidence of the young man's murder - a victim in a turf war between the local crime boss, known as "The Count", and his Serbian rivals. Armed with heavy machinery and a good dose of beginner's luck, Nils embarks upon a quest for revenge that soon escalates into a full-blown underworld gang war, with the body count spiraling ever higher and higher.
August 26 is the date to mark for its U.S. opening in limited theaters and digital and streaming platfoms. Skarsgård is joined by Pal Sverre Hagen, Bruno Ganz, Hildegun Riise, Peter Andersson, David Sakurai, Birgitte Hjort Sorensen, Jakob Oftebro, Anders Baasmo Christiansen, Jon Oigarden, Gard B. Eidsvold, Goran Navojec and Jack Sodahl Moland.
