The New SUICIDE SQUAD Trailer Blitzes Online!

Say what you will about Warner Bros, but they still have a schedule to keep with some of their films - particularly when it comes to their current slate of DC films, and it seems for the most part, they're doing exactly that. The underperformance Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice drew somewhat of a red flag for the studio on a few levels, one of which brought about their recent decision to focus more on their franchises over original properties.

As such, director David Ayer has something going for himself with the forthcoming release of Suicide Squad which, itself, still boasts quite the excitement for comic book movie fans. However, reshoots are reportedly underway at the moment to help provide the film with a more appealing action tone than what BvS invoked, which makes it a little interesting to wonder how the film would have done prior to the reshoots.

At any rate, Ayer is a fantastic director and Suicide Squad is a perfect project for someone who's lit up the screen with riveting work with a resumé of thrillers like End Of Watch, Fury, and Sabotage. We get a cast that features Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Joel Kinnaman, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Cara Delvingne playing a roster of villains given a new lease on life as criminals-turned-anti-heroes under the watchful eye of actress Viola Davis in exchange for clemency against an unknown and potentially dangerous threat.

What could that mean? Well, we only know as far as what the trailers have been showing us since Comic Con last year, and amid the high energy of Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards, as well as any and all hopes for a sequel as of last month, viewers were blitzed with an exciting new trailer to keep us hooked. And to say the least, I'm pretty hooked. And yes, Ben Affleck's Batman is still in this one, so that's a plus.
