Hey Toronto! Catch Scott Goldman Bringing Action Movies To Life In ONE MAN ARMY

Head over to the Facebook event page for actor Scott Goldman's forthcoming stage show, One Man Army, and you'll find a blooper video with cuts of him introducing himself. It's funny stuff and should present a nice little sampler for theatergoing types looking forward to his next performance later this month.

The newest announcement has all the details you need on what's involved and if you love action cinema, this sounds right up your alley.
Originally presented as a part of Bad Dog Theatre Company’s Summer Blockbuster Festival in 2015, ONE MAN ARMY is a solo performance entirely improvised in the style of a high octane 1980’s action film. Inspired by films such as Commando, Die Hard and the Rambo series ONE MAN ARMY has its’ own sense of irreverence and embraces the ridiculous aspects of the genre. If John McClane was portrayed by Chris Farley, Die Hard would resemble ONE MAN ARMY.

Directed by Colin Munch (Toronto I Love You, NOW Magazine Artist to Watch 2016) and performed by Scott Goldman (BeerProv, The PATH, Sleeperhold) ONE MAN ARMY is a unique show to behold. In addition to playing all of the characters, Goldman physicalizes any and all weapons, vehicles and explosions that are necessary as the plot develops. Basing the story and action of the show on suggestions taken from the audience, each performance of ONE MAN ARMY is truly different from the one before. Equal parts slapstick, action and silly accents, ONE MAN ARMY is a love letter to the action genre of the late 80’s and early 90’s and truly a spectacle to behold.

Scott Goldman has studied and performed improv comedy for over 15 years. Goldman is a founding member of Ottawa’s award winning improv troupe Insensitivity Training and has trained at The Second City Training Centre Toronto as well as the Bad Dog Theatre Company. A regular on stages throughout Toronto, including Co-Hosting the weekly BeerProv™ presents The Draft at Comedy Bar, Goldman is also recognizable from national ad campaigns for Walmart and the Golden Treasures lottery ticket.
