Get Liberated In The New Trailer For Ericson Core's POINT BREAK!

As it stands, out of any and all expectations there may be from director Ericson Core's upcoming Point Break remake, there are quite a few things I'm looking forward to here with regard to some of the iconic scenes from the 1991 film this one is based on, including the epic footchase chase, and the fight choreography by Can Aydin. Other than that, it's fair to hold remakes to a specific standard these days, as some fall shorter than others. The decisions to remake a film is of a touchy nature, especially when it comes to this one and the tone being introduced when it comes to the next level of dynamic action and stunts to incorporate the drama.

Needless to say, I like the potential here seen in this trailer. We get many of our key characters in our millieu of extreme sportsmanship played by daredevils living life on the edge, including a villain in search of the ultimate thrill. It's a standard that actors Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez, and actress Teresa Palmer now must live up to through Kurt Wimmer's script order to bring that same essence back that Keanu Reeves and the late Patrick Swayze delivered so effervescently more than two decades ago, now joined by a dairing line-up of cameos by celebrity surfers, snowboarders and more. Thankfully, we'll be finding out if this can be done on this Christmas when the movie opens.

In Alcon Entertainment’s fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller “Point Break,” a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes – led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways.
Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of this string of inconceivable crimes.
The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture. These action adventure feats are performed by elite athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.

Ray Winstone and Delroy Lindo also star. Peep the trailer below and see it to believe it!
