Lunar Stunts Action Cinema is another one of those rare hidden gems you will find if you use the internet enough in search of stylish independently-produced fight action. Here, founder, independent filmmaker and action designer Eric Nguyen's craft has been continually growing little by little, in size and scale of stuntwork, as well as artistic delivery with each project, including his latest offering now available on his channel in the form of Pandora's Box 2, following the release of its predecessor back in March.

Such characters may (or may not) include urban vigilante Casey Jones, or Dimension X creatures Bebop and Rocksteady; It's pretty early, so details are scant. However, Bay is returning with his creative team to put together the new film with no official word yet on whether or not Jonathan Liebesman will return to direct for its June 3, 2016 date.

RUSH HOUR To Be Adapted Into Television Action Series

A lot of time has been spent going back and forth with the prospects of a fourth addition to the current Rush Hour trilogy. Lend A Hand And Help Fund The Action Horror Short, NO TOUCHING!

No one really knows the extent to how any particular crowdfunding film project will turn out long after its funds are earned and the project is complete. However, if you know who actresses and stuntwomen Zoë Bell (Death Proof, Raze) and Heidi Moneymaker (Fast And Furious 7, Behind Every Great Man) are, you may be up for less skepticism than you think with their latest collaborative kick-ass action horror short film endeavor, No Touching.

Everyone Is Packing In The Latest Trailer For Malay Action Comedy, KAKI KITAI

I can't speak fully on behalf of the musings of Malay actors and how they fare since I don't live in the country. However, you have to at least give credit where credit is due, and the most recent trailer for director Mohd Azaromi Ghozali's upcoming Malay action comedy, Kaki Kitai, certainly looks like it deserves its fair share. Sure, its layers of silliness are there, but I'm privy to believe this won't be anything to complain about.

LONDON HAS FALLEN May Have Found A New Director

It was back in August that Charlie Countryman helmer Fredrik Bond was slated to direct actor Gerard Butler in London Has Fallen, the forthcoming action sequel to last year's hit, Olympus Has Fallen. Since then, Bond reportedly bailed on the project over a week ago, leaving the production six weeks to find a director.

Luke Goss Takes The Lead In His Directorial Debut, YOUR MOVE

Actor Luke Goss's recent films haven't garnered the attention of mainstream Hollywood following his earlier stints in hits like Blade 2, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army and The Man, but he's made a ton of direct-to-DVD flicks catered specifically to the action niche since then. This week, the Death Race 2 and 3 actor is now switching gears and multitasking on both ends of the camera for his latest upcoming revenge thriller, Your Move, signaling the film's commencement about a week ago on his official Facebook page.

Tobey MacGuire To Produce Female-Led Sony-Acquired Sci-Fi Actioner, THE EDEN PROJECT

Details are scarce at the moment, but if all things go according to plan, cult sci-fi and female-centric action may have another venture to look forward to on the big screen. And who do we have to thank for this? Well, that turns out to be the folks over at Sony Pictures who have just picked up a script in the form of another new potential action sci-fi franchise starter, The Eden Project.

In The Equalizer, Denzel Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston.  When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help.  He is The Equalizer.

I know who the late Edward Woodward was, and I may have seen a few of his works over the years. However, I was pretty young at the time the CBS TV series, The Equalizer was a popular show in its heyday, and I've only ever seen bits and pieces of the show so I can't really offer an informed opinion on its full tonality in comparison to the latest feature-length counterpart from Sony/Columbia Pictures. Although, what I can offer is my take on the work presented here by filmmaker Antoine Fuqua in this, his latest return to the set with award-winning actor Denzel Washington following their initial collaboration on the 2001 crime drama Training Day. Well, hopefully you have already seen the latter as a preamble to this newest venture, which has already gotten off to a great start at the box-office, making the prospects of a sequel all the more promising.

Dwayne Johnson Confirms THE JANSON DIRECTIVE, Tweets Screenwriter

It's considerably awesome seeing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson become one of the most entertaining and bankable actors working in film these days. The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King, and The Rundown were a huge jumpstart for the former wrestler whose move into film has since brought him in the throes of some of the biggest franchises to to date, including The Fast And The Furious saga and the G.I. Joe movies.

Watch The Trailer For Chong Seung-Hyun's Shortfilm Debut, STEH AUF (GET UP)

The 2014 film festival circuit has been and continues to be nothing short of an adventure for actor, writer, producer and director Chong Seung-hyun in lieu of his newest shortfilm, Steh Auf (Get Up). The project is undoubtedly bringing Chong his fair share of accolades, since winning over folks at the Asians On Film Festival back in April, presenting his debut in the form of an all-too real, and likely touching, coming-of-age underdog story about a young man whose seemingly unorthodox path toward boxing is mired by the constant stigma of his mixed heritage.

Black Sun Entertainment Presents: ENVOY

Award-winning shortfilm director David Weinstein's resume is literally a who's-who in blockbuster filmmaking. The animation and pre-viz effects whiz, best known for his work on films like Men In Black 3, The Matrix 2 and 3, Godzilla and Hercules, took his credentials to task to much avail in the acclaimed 2010 short, Azureus Rising, and has now returned with a newly released conceptual sci-fi action short, Envoy. It's a pretty damn good concept and a shame if no one picks up on it.

Carano, Morgan, Bautista And DeNiro Board BUS 657

SWEETER THAN CHOCOLATE: My Interview With Jeeja Yanin

Interviewing Tony Jaa late last year turned out to be much more of a blessing than I thought it would be. Growing into my first year as an action film enthusiast and blogger, not only did I earn the opportunity to share exclusive content with one of the biggest action stars to date, I also get to in touch every once in a blue moon, and it's pretty fantastic!

I actually got to Skype once a few months ago with Jaa and his manager, Mike Selby (who also helped faciliate my previous interview with Michael Jai White back in May), and it's the first time I got to engage in such loose, comfortable dialogue. I have to say though, none of this would have been possible without the launch of Jaa's official Facebook page in 2013 as he was transitioning from the Thai film industry to other markets and it's a trend that seems to be delightfully gaining ground for a few people nowadays. Evidently, this would also be the case for none other than actress and martial artist, Jeeja Yanin.

China Pulls Opening Night Premiere Of Nicholas Cage Action Epic, OUTCAST

To say the least, the last several hours or so have been nothing short of an epic "WTF" for the folks over at Arclight Films. Cinematic Fight Studio Presents: VIVERE

You gotta give credit where credit is due. If it weren't for the popularity of films like Merantau or The Raid and its sequel, the chances are that we would still be waiting. Well, leave it to the dwelling artists of the independent online action community, unafraid to experiment with whatever tools they need in building their filmmaking fight muscles for the sake of keeping action alive, whether they're bare fists, feet, or maybe even Karambit knives!

FROM BEIJING TO Z (Part One): My Interview With Lohan Buson

The past year has been a pretty scant for me when it comes to interviews between the site and my outside obligations, but I knew that I wanted to talk to people with the summer film festival circuit in full-bloom. Thankfully, through good fortune and patience, I managed to achieve this several times - including twice with Lohan Buson and Fabien Garcia, two of the internet's biggest trendsetters for the online action niche representing their once Beijing-based action cimema filmmaking and stunt team, Z-Team.

I first caught these two in a shortfilm titled Duel a little less than a decade ago. It was one of the slickest and coolest action short pieces I had ever seen, and it was easy to see the potential they would garner in their endeavors as performers. Of course, their potential remained mired by the usual setbacks of independent filmmaking, particularly with their latest Action On Film Fest award-winner, Die Fighting

The film is the team's first feature project for their newly-established Los Angeles-based production platform, Z-Team Films with Garcia debuting as its director on top of starring with Buson. The trailers that went viral last year and this year were nothing short of eye-popping, breathing new life into a genre widely acclaimed by its fans around the world to this day.

FROM BEIJING TO Z (Part Two): My Interview With Fabien Garcia

Martial arts action fans are up to their necks with excitement and anticipation for the latest action packed thriller, Die Fighting. Its cast and crew all hail from a young legacy of ambitious artists, athletes and filmmakers who have all managed to find their niche online.

For this, we look at Z-Team, whose previous shortfilm work have drawn plenty of acclaim from its fanbase as its members have also managed to find their way into the world of film and stuntwork. And if this happens to be your first time learning about Z-Team, consider this a chance to redeem yourself, and now is as good a time as any to do so.

Director Christian Sesma (left) and actor Jason Mewes (right) on the set of VIGILANTE DIARIES: THE SERIES (2013)
Moving away from the habitual cycle of comic book and video game adaptations in film these days, independent filmmaker Christian Sesma and actor Paul Sloan are proof positive that original storytelling can still pave the way for something massively incredible. And as of late, their prospects in this regard are about to take shape with their new stylish action thriller, Vigilante Diaries: The Movie, a film that once saw its day as a Chill.com exclusive webseries with Sloan joined by actor Jason Mewes (Clerks, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back).

The series unfortunately faded after its two-episode premiere and a lot of time did pass since then with Sloan and Sesma keeping busy with other projects. However, some new and peculiar-looking photos in Sesma's Instagram account landed in my sights and drew my curiosity. Last year's censored first episode of Vigilante Diaries was just a peek in comparison to the vision Sesma and his creative team have in mind, and not for nothing either. Though it may have taken a couple of years, not only will turning Vigilante Diaries into a feature film help flex more of its muscles in its evolution, it will deservedly grant the project a MUCH bigger audience, and it does not end there!

Sesma's got some plans of his sleeve and Film Combat Syndicate now has the good fortune of sharing what a handful of those plans will entail:

Writer and director Matthew Vaughn's latest return to the big screen presents a story that we've seen played several times before. What will count though, is how fresh it will look upon delivery, and so far, watching actor Colin Firth go from his usual quieter, more romantic roles to that of an asskicking variety for the upcoming release of the UK-set action comedy adventure, Kingsman: The Secret Service isn't something I'm entirely against, just quite the opposite.

Will Yun Lee, Michelle Yeoh And Others Join The Final Season Of STRIKE BACK

Sullivan Stapleton (left) and Phillip Winchester (right) in STRIKE BACK
I don't watch a lot of television, but I love a good action series, and with Cinemax in my sights, Strike Back has always been a favorite. The show is on the way with its fourth and final season with filming resuming in Europe following a six-month hiatus due to an unspecified off-set injury back in February for series regular Sullivan Stapleton that forced the season behind its original shooting schedule.

According to recent statements made by screenwriter and producer Simom Kinberg, recasting for certain roles may be a possibility depending on where the new film goes, which he also stated could follow-up the 2011 movie, X-Men: First Class.

Hell Is The Only Way Out In The New Trailer For The Wong Fei-Hung Origin Epic, RISE OF THE LEGEND!

Director Roy Chow's grand plan to reinvent once-living martial arts legend and cinematic folk hero, Wong Fei-Hung wasn't without its fair share of criticisms from purists. Of course, some of that noise died down with the teaser for said film, Rise Of The Legend back in August, giving a shiny and quite lusterful glimpse into Chow's forthcoming origin telling based on Fearless scribe Christine To's screenplay.

New Details (And Set Pics) Arise For Sammo Hung's Next Actioner, THE BODYGUARD

And to top it all off, Hung is not only directing in it, he's starring in it as well!

Take A Bite Out Of The New Trailer For SIFU VS. VAMPIRE Starring Yuen Biao!

Producer and screenwriter Wong Jing is back, returning once more to the horror genre and gearing toward the vampire niche with director Daniel Chan for Sifu VS. Vampire, formerly known as La Télé De Vampire. Promotion is starting to kick off with some online virility this week and it hints to a fair share of having a little bit of everything to incorporate with its visual grim vampiric spectacle: some drama, a little romance and comedy and some silly gags. Of course though, if you're going to put in people like incomparable Hong Kong cinema legend Yuen Biao (Knockabout, My Kingdom) and rising martial arts actor Phillip Ng (The Underdog Knight, Once Upon A Time In Shanghai), you'd better include some action in this package. Fortunately, the brand new trailer includes a handful of that as well!
