A New Soldier Enters The Battlefield In The New Trailer For HALO: NIGHTFALL

As far as live-action adaptations ago in the world of video games and films, there is plenty of room for improvement. Some projects fall short of expectations while others amazingly succeed, and this November, Microsoft and producer Ridley Scott are looking to see what they can bring with the forthcoming release of the new series, Halo: Nightfall.

Directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, the new live-action installation will introduce actor Mike Colter in a series that will serve as a backstory for his role, Jameson Locke, leading into the release of the upcoming game, "Halo 5: Guardians". A new trailer was just released this week, and it looks fresh and solid from what's being offered. Sci-fi and gaming fans will surely take interest.
Halo: Nightfall introduces a pivotal new character, Jameson Locke, a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth's most powerful and secretive military branch. When he and his team are caught in a horrific biological attack, they unravel a plot that draws them to an ancient, hellish artifact, where they will be forced to fight for their survival, question everything, and ultimately choose between their loyalties and their lives. Taking place between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, Halo: Nightfall is Locke's origin story which will lend insight and understanding into the character he becomes in Halo 5: Guardians.
Colter will be joined by Steven Waddington, Christina Chong, Luke Neal, Alexander Bhat, Alexis Rodney, Christian Contreras, Eric Kofi Abrefa, Jennie Gruner, Sarah Armstrong and Shaun Blaney. Lucky XBOX One users will be the ones to check out the new series when it arrives exclusively for the platform as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection on November 11.
