Sound The Drums For Battle In A New Behind-The-Scenes Video For KIKAIDER REBOOT
One of the biggest and most important qualities shared by any action movie is how important the score is, as is the case for the post-production of Kikaider Reboot. And this week, fans are getting a kickass earful of Kiyoshi Yoshikawa's amazing score, along with musical director Donald Barrett and his drummers over at Hollywood's own Captiol Studios.
Of course the trick is to watch the video long enough so you won't miss any footage from the film accompanied by some truly badass percussion work. I used to play drums when I was younger, so this was a gem to come across and share with you folks, and I look forward to seeing how this film performs with its score upon release.
Produced by Shinichiro Shinakura, Kikaider Reboot is based on Shotaro Ishinomori's classic TV Asashi series, and releases in Japan on May 24, 2014. If you missed the first official trailer from last month, you can also view it below as well.
An exasperating wait, no less, for folks like myself who live in the U.S.. Still, it's nice to know that a Blu-Ray/Digital HD release of the new tournament martial arts thriller, Boyka: Undisputed, is well on its way with an August release, while it's even nicer to know that the film's star, actor and martial artist Scott Adkins wants to do a fifth.
He says so at around the 11:40 mark in his latest interview now online following his recent appearance at MCM Expo in London this week to discuss the role and the film as a whole - And not for nothing either as he continues to pound away at fans who enjoy his movies, but insist on stealing them online which will otherwise kill any chance of the film happening before 2030 if we're lucky (my words, not his).
Adkins also shares several new images from his latest, Accident Man, and some gems on Michael Cuesta's American Assassin, working with Tony Jaa on the recently-wrapped ensemble action thriller, Triple Threat, and muc…
Production I.G.'s longstanding Blood saga has been a mainstay in manga and on film and TV, save for Chris Nahon's own less-than-stellar effort nearly a decade ago. Since then, the animated franchise has seen its own evolution despite bearing some controversy which forbade it in both Japan and even China despite positive reviews.
That legacy extends further to Blood-C: The Last Dark, as its 2015 live-action stageplay, Blood-C: The Last Mind from director Shutaro Oku who has since moved on to a live-action setting for the upcoming spin-off, Asura Girl: Blood-C from Production I.G. and all-female animation group, CLAMP. Fujisaki Junichi, whose shared credits with the entirety of the Blood franchise date back to the 2000 Playstation game, wrote the script which will expand on the principal villain, Fumito, from the 2011 Blood-C anime now in a prequel setting. The story takes place in prewar-period Japan under the military government. The bloody battle between the tyrannical Specia…
I had been hearing through the grapevine in the past few months that actor and freerunning extraordinare Sébastien Foucan was being primed for a return to the big screen in some capacity. As it turns out this week with events at Cannes in full force, the facts are now finally starting to emerge thus confirming the fact with news on the new film, Bharal.
The film hails from the newly-established UK production banner BB88 with Foucan making his stellar foray into a lead role after rasing the benchmark of cinematic parkour with performances in Martin Campbell's Casino Royale (2006) and Scott Mann's The Tournament (2009). Foucan will star opposite Kelsey Grammer (Transformers: Age Of Extinction) in the story of an African refugee looking for his missing sister who garners media when uncovers an underground sex trafficking ring, making him a target London's criminal underbelly along with the immigrant community that has taken him in. The Antwerp Dolls helmer Jake L. Reid reunit…
