"What have you been doing for the last fifty years?" That's the question kicking off the new viral campaign for Trask Indistries, the company responsible for creating the deadly "Sentinels" you will see in director Bryan Singer's upcoming July 18, 2014 release of X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Hopefully you also had the opportunity to catch up on the action with director James Mangold's recent release of The Wolverine, featuring Hugh Jackman down to a surprise ending that will leave you blown away and wanting more. ComingSoon.net was on hand at the San Diego Comic Con for the unveiling of the Trask Industries model Sentinel busts earlier this month which you can view here.
Twitter feed, as well as the official Days Of Future Past Tumblr site. Some of those pics include character portraits you can see on the left hand side, with actors Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen as the future renditions of Professor X and Magneto, along with Omar Sy as Bishop, Daniel Cudmore as Colossus, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havok, and Jackman returning as the past/future illustrations of Logan, a.k.a. The Wolverine.
who also spoke a few years back about what he would love to do for a new Spawn film. "I hope he does [make the film]. In the next couple years I might have to produce it myself. It’s a no-brainer." he says. "Look at how these movies have done, superhero movies that have gone dark, and there hasn’t been one darker than Spawn. If we do it like we want to, it could be a game changer. I think Todd feels the same way as me – that we go R. Not a kinder, gentler Spawn, we go straight R – like pushing it, pushing NC-17. Give the fans what they expect. That edge brought [the comic book] to where it is. I would really like to show what that character can be.”
Director Baltazar Kormakur is set to helm the American remake of Erik Matti's Filipino crime docudrama, On The Job. This Friday though, you have the chance to familiarize yourself with his filmic vision in the upcoming action thriller from Universal Pictures, 2 Guns, starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, along with Paula Patton, Bill Paxton, Edward James Olmos and James Marsden.
The film is based on the 2007 Boom! Studios graphic novel publication from writer Steven Grant, who helped produce the film and has also prepped a sequel tentatively titled 3 Guns, should the film perform excellently in this weekend's box office earnings.
Academy Award winner Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg star in the action film that tracks two operatives from competing bureaus who are forced on the run together. But there is a big problem with their unique alliance: Neither knows that the other is an undercover federal agent.
For the past 12 months, DEA agent Bobby Trench (Washington) and U.S. naval intelligence officer Marcus Stigman (Wahlberg) have been reluctantly attached at the hip. Working undercover as members of a narcotics syndicate, each man distrusts his partner as much as the criminals they have both been tasked to take down.
When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, Trench and Stigman are suddenly disavowed by their superiors. Now that everyone wants them in jail or in the ground, the only person they can count on is the other. Unfortunately for their pursuers, when good guys spend years pretending to be bad, they pick up a few tricks along the way.

Filmmaker Ross Boyask's latest labor of love, Warrioress, will make its Japanese rental debut this Friday on August 2, 2013. The bold, independently completed feature-length fantasy action adventure is also set to make its debut at the Action On Film Festival this month as it continues to seek attention from distributors.
Check out the new trailer below:
Two powerful female warriors must journey across a post-apocalyptic land to fight a ritual duel, and fulfill an ancient prophecy.
In the tradition of "Xena, Warrior Princess", and influenced by seminal fantasy films such as "Excalibur" and "Flesh & Blood", Warrioress combines a unique, mystically-infused atmosphere with blistering action scenes. The story features a wide array of vibrantly attractive and powerful female characters pitted against each other in mortal combat. In this world of mysticism and philosophy, ruled by dominant highly trained female warriors, the world is held in the grasp of the dark and malevolent Falonex Empire, and two distinctly different villages hold a deeply-held sworn belief in a powerful prophecy that will bring them salvation.
Once in every generation one chosen fighter from each village must travel on a quest across treacherous terrain to a sacred circle formed of ancient stones, to fight a ritual sword duel, each armed with a sacred sword. If the two warriors are of equal skill and wield the sister swords "the Opener" and "Dragon Singer" they will fullfil the Prophecy and lead the fight against the Falonex Empire. The time has come again for the prophecy to be fulfilled and the two fighters will meet at the pre-destined place. But will they meet as friend or foe?
The Wrap is reporting that filmmaker Spike Lee's American adaptation of the classic Japanese graphic novel, Oldboy has been pushed a month back from its previous October 25, 2013 release date to November 27, 2013. The film will ultimately be competing against the Gary Fleder-directed Homefront, along with the Jennifer Lawrence actioner, The Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire, and Christian Bale's latest action drama, Out Of The Furnace.
Based on the previous 2003 Korean thriller from director Park Chan-wook, Oldboy stars Josh Brolin in a story about a man who is kidnapped by a mysterious powerful figure. When he is inexplicably unleashed into the world 20 years later, he sets out to seek the answers he needs in order to put the pieces of his life back together again, only to find himself still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
The film also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley and Samuel L. Jackson, with a screenplay by Mark Protosevich.
Actress Brittney Santos also stars with Jimmy Dempster who will also be seen as the main villain in filmmaker Danny Vega's year-end feature release, A Dance With The Devil. Actors Anthony Belevtsov, Fran Rafferty, Michael Opal and Rafael Lugo round out the cast, with Genesis Action Stunts designing the action sequences to host its own fair share of hand to hand and weaponized fight scenes, as well as gun battles and a brutal climatic final brawling scene between the two lead characters.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysteriousfigure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
One of the best things I can possibly say about the longstanding X-Men film franchise, is how it has remained mostly consistent over the years. I largely put this on the count of some really brilliant acting and screenwriting, put forth in a setting I almost never thought I would see as a live-action property. The amount of creativity it takes to help bring this comic book story to life is such that it's definitely a challenge, especially when fans so desperately want to see a good film that reflects so heavy on their favorite lifelong heroes. For actor Hugh Jackman, it is a challenge he willingly and wholeheartedly accepts in director James Mangold's The Wolverine, and it more than a decade later, he still gets the job done.
Famke Janssen. The plot thickens when Yukio, a mysterious swordswoman played by Rila Fukushima, whisks him away to Japan at the behest of her master and dying surrogate father, Yashida, played by Hal Yamanouchi. The preconceptions here are that Yashida's last request is to thank him for saving his life when Allied Forces dropped the atom bomb on Nagasaki back in World War II. As fate would have it, Yashida has other motives for his wealth and the fate of his megacompany, partly including the protection of his reluctant progeny and granddaughter, Mariko, played by actress Tao Okamoto. And with corporate and political influences, and other forces at play-both hidden and in plain sight, Logan suddenly finds himself on a harrowing mission, protecting Mariko from Ninjas, the clutches of the Yakuza, and while fighting for his own life long enough to seek answers.
47 Ronin, which I plan on seeing when it releases this Christmas. Beyond that I have some pretty high hopes for this actor, and I certainly wish my hopes come to fruition while he is still around.

To avoid misunderstanding all this, however, is the excitement added by Jaa's own start of international action stardom as Tom Yum Goong 2 will be a major precursor to the development and production of his next two films, A Man Will Rise and Skin Trade. Both films will see Jaa on set with blockbuster action hero Dolph Lundgren.
Golden Screen Cinemas reports that Tom Yum Goong 2 will debut in Thailand on October 24, 2013. The film is currently pending North American release as The Protector 2, thanks to its acquistion at the Cannes Film Festival back in May.
The sequel to "Tom Yum Goong", Tony Jaa is the hard-hitting Kham. Kham is the last in long line of guards who once watched over the King of Thailand's war elephants. Traditionally, only the perfect elephants could successfully help defend the throne, after his harrowing quest to retrieve the elephants, Kham returns to his village to live in peace. Genesis Action Stunts founder Anthony Giovanni Elias and Genesis fellow member Reko Rivera.
Vega shared his jubilance with me on the apparent transcendence of independent action filmmaking in his state, saying, "I love the fact that action films are expanding in Florida. It's great to see other people sharing the dreams you have and all the talent, love, and great energy it's producing. I feel that for the past couple of years action cinema wasn't as strong as it used to be especially in Florida. But now it's booming again and the public loves it. Who doesn't like to see a good ass kicking from time to time!"
