SDCC 2013: Katniss Returns As The Symbol Of Hope In The New Comic-Con Trailer For HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE

The first official teaser for Hunger Games: Catching Fire, was released back in April during the MTV Movie Awards. Today, the brand new trailer unveiled on Saturday during the events at San Diego Comic Con where actress Jennifer Lawrence also surpised fans with an appearance by Michael Fassbender, accompanied with the cast of X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

 Francis Lawrence inherits the director's seat from Gary Ross who helmed the first film.

Briefly picking up where The Hunger Games left off, Catching Fire sees actress Lawrence and actor Josh Hutcherson as the reigning champions of the 74th annual Hunger Games, which takes them on a victory tour through the districts of Panem, where a rebellion continues to brew day by day. Meanwhile, behind the curtains are the President and the Gamemaker as they prepare the next competition, The Quarter Quell, while conspiring against the peoples' heroine in the hopes of suppressing the masses even more.

Also starring are Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and Donald Southerland, along with Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Woody Harrelson, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Lynn Cohen, Patrick St. Esprit, Meta Golding, Bruno Gunn, Alan Ritchson, E. Roger Mitchell, Maria Howell, Stephanie Leigh Schlund, Sam Claflin and Jeffrey Wright.

The film will release in standard and IMAX theaters on November 22, 2013.

SYNOPSIS:
Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.
