In the 1930s China, a Japanese cult called The Temple of Hades was ordered to cooperate with the Japanese military, taking as many young children from poor families as possible, to train and turn into lethal killing machines in service of the Emperor. Vajra, who was one of the children taken into captivity, was forced to fight for food, accidentally killing his brother in the process. As the years passed and Vajra grew older, he became one of the temple's most gifted killers. Vajra eventually escapes to China and joins Shaolin, where he receives spiritual enlightenment and vows to protect China from the minions of the powerful cult that made him as strong and deadly as he is.

Brand New Footage Featured In The New Promo For THE WRATH OF VAJRA
The Wrath Of Vajra, is back making headlines, and from the looks of the latest new English-subbed promotional spot, it's easy to see why. No question either as to its success back in May when it sold to Well Go USA for North American distribution. That said, all we need are some release dates to give us an idea about when the rest of the world can look at this awesome new movie, featuring actor and martial arts action star Shi Yanneng in his first lead role.
The film also reunites our lead with Japanese actor Hiroyuki Ikeuchi since their appearance together in Donnie Yen's theatrical representation of the pre-Bruce Lee story of Wing Chun master, Ip Man. The rest of the cast includes Zhang Yamei, Tony Liu, international action legend Yasuaki Kurata, actor K-pop performer Steve Yoo, 7-foot tall actor Jiang Baocheng and b-boy dancer Poppin Hyun-joon. Iceman 3D director Law Wing Cheong helmed the film, produced by Hong Pang with action choreography by Peng Zhang, whose credits include Kick-Ass, Ninja Assassin and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
Well Go USA's acquisition of The Wrath Of Vajra also signifies the new slate of Asian action thrillers to be released to North America between now and next year, which also include Iceman 3D, director Herman Yau's Ip Man: The Final Fight and filmmaker Erik Matti's Filipino crime drama, On The Job.
